Occombe Beer Festival Headliners and Line-Up Announced
Organisers of this year’s Occombe Beer Festival have revealed the line-up for the two day festival and this year is set to be one of the most exciting yet with Glastonbury favourites Wille and the Bandits and indie band Silent Alarm in the headline slots. Taking place on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June, the event will be jam-packed with foot-stomping music, superb beer and great food.

Torquay Best Bar None attends national awards ceremony in House of Lords
The Torquay Best Bar None scheme was represented this week at a parliamentary reception hosted by Lord Rupert Reesdale in the House of Lords.
Committee members Emma Gibson (Green Ginger), Trevor Staveley (Street Pastors), Rob Elford (SHOT BY ROB), James Hopkins (London Inn) and Carol Stapleton (Shadow Security) joined representatives from across the country for the national awards ceremony.
Supported by the Home Office, Best Bar None promotes responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises. The scheme aims to improve standards in the night time economy by ensuring licensed premises meet minimum standards.

BEST BAR NONE launches in Torquay
Torquay’s nightlife operators are joining the nationwide Best Bar None scheme.
Supported by the Home Office Best Bar None promotes responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises.
It was piloted in Manchester in 2003 and found to improve standards in the night time economy, with premises now competing to participate. It has since been adopted by 75 town and cities across the UK with Torquay holding its launch event at Pier Point Restaurant & Bar on Wednesday 20 January.
The aim of the Best Bar None scheme in Torquay is to reduce alcohol-related crime, antisocial behaviour and increase business, through the delivery of education, training and the promotion of best practice, to broaden the appeal of Torquay – more especially the evening and night-time economy.
Meet The Buff Bouncers in The Green Ginger
After a busy few months of photo shoots across Torquay, the highly anticipated BUFF BOUNCERS calendar launch party takes place at The Green Ginger on Friday 11 December from 9.30pm.
Wearing nothing but their shorts and a smile, stars from the calendar will be meeting and greeting customers as well as selling copies of the calendar.
Everyone involved has volunteered their time and talents with every penny raised going to Help for Heroes, thanks to the headline sponsor Patronus Security and local businesses who have sponsored a month.

Gift vouchers are available at £25 for a half hour sitting where I will capture a natural photograph for you and your family to treasure, in addition to an enjoyable and fun creative experience.
The price includes the studio time, editing, re-touching and their favourite image supplied as a 5×7 print ready for framing.
Prints, canvases, framing and high resolution digital files are all available at additional cost if required. Examples are on display in the studio to give inspiration for displaying in your home.
To redeem a voucher please forward the PayPal receipt by email with a choice of preferred dates for the sitting.
Studio appointments are subject to availability and are between 10am – 6pm Monday – Friday and 3pm – 6pm on Saturday. Appointments outside of these hours are available at a small premium to be discussed at the time of booking.
